The vision of Greenwood Events is to run affordable training which can count towards counsellors’ CPD. It is achieved through collaboration and partnership working between experienced counsellors and trainers and Greenwood Events by pulling together resources, expertise and a genuine willingness to share knowledge and best practice.
Greenwood Events also aspires to facilitate a vibrant and lively network of counsellors who meet up on a regular basis to share expertise and knowledge. The events may also be of interest to anyone considering a career in counselling, social workers, teachers or anyone who is interested in personal self-development; no one is excluded.

How Greenwood Events Started
Greenwood Events is headed up by Audrey Smith. Audrey has worked as a Business & Events Manager since 2002 and set out on her (life-changing!) journey to become a counsellor in 2007. Obtaining the Diploma in Counselling is just the beginning…if you want to become an accredited counsellor and keep your skills and knowledge up-to-date then continuing professional development (CPD) is essential. This can cost a substantial amount of money though.
This is where the vision stemmed from for Greenwood Events. Upon the suggestion of her supervisor, Audrey decided to combine her event management skills and her passionate desire to learn and keep her counselling knowledge and skills up-to-date, and so it was that Greenwood Events was born.
